The Museum
for schools

The National Museum of the Italian Risorgimento welcomes thousands of students of all ages every year, with educational proposals designed to transform the visit into a lively, active, and formative experience.

Who are the activities designed for?

Our activities are designed to bring children and young people closer to the history of the Risorgimento and to civic education, with a focus on participation, inclusion, and the relevance of the topics covered.

The proposals are divided into specific paths for:

  • Primary school
  • Lower and upper secondary school
  • University

Each activity is structured according to the age of the students, the school curricula, and the educational objectives, with an approach that stimulates curiosity, reflection, critical thinking, and dialogue.

History as a teacher of citizenship

The activities are curated by the Museum's Educational Services, composed of museum educators with historical, pedagogical, and communicative skills. Each visit is designed to stimulate critical thinking, create connections between past and present, and make history an instrument of citizenship.

All the activities, divided by school level and accompanied by detailed descriptions, are collected in our downloadable brochure.
