To Anita ten years later

Anita Garibaldi died in the Comacchio valleys on August 4, 1849, while fleeing from Rome to Venice with her husband. In 1859, Garibaldi wanted her remains transferred to Nizza Marittima, in protest against the decision of Cavour to surrender the city to the French.
