After the Montecristo and Dracula Marathons, the collective reading experience is renewed, this time curated by the National Museum of Risorgimento Italian, Readers' Circle Foundation, Arnoldo Foundation and Alberto Mondadori, Libreria Internazionale Luxemburg, Sotto18+ Film Festival and MUSLI – School Museum.
A great classic of literature is about to cross the city again, among voices, places and perspectives that intertwine in a widespread narrative, in the bicentenary of the birth of Carlo Collodi. On July 2nd, starting at 10:00 a.m., readers of all ages will pass the baton in reading the entire novel aloud, in a collaborative and engaging experience that spans the porticoes and diverse settings of Turin.
During the readings, images and visual materials related to the contents of the exhibition will also be projected.Italian Excellence. Pinocchio's New Clothes“, created by Bologna Children's Book Fair in 2026, which celebrates the bicentenary of the birth of Carlo Collodi presents a selection of illustrations dedicated to the famous puppet, including works by great masters of illustration and the 24 winning plates of an international competition promoted by BCBF.
The initiative is also part of the wider programme Sotto i portici del Risorgimento, this year in dialogue with the exhibition In game. Art and play from Risorgimento to date, enhancing the connection between storytelling, participation and educational practices through play and reading.

- 20: 30 | Screening at the Cinema Romano:Pinocchio by Enzo D'Alò (2012). Introduced in the room by Filippo Corradini, animated film scholar, contributor to the Index of Books of the Month, and student at the CSC (Centro Sperimentale Cinematografia) Animation, Turin.
